«A visionary film that connects a thought-provoking search for the mysterious origins of life across time and space.  Filmmaker Maria Molina Peiró’s impressive debut is a science fiction documentary and a monumental visual work that delves into the biggest questions with few words.  A cinematic experience that delves into the boundaries between faith and progress, and between living and the non-living. In other words: this is a film that must be experienced in the cinema»

«We would like to award a film that impressed us both visually and thematically. Its distinctive composition and complexity demonstrate an original cinematic vision, while its editing weaves an extensive web of questions into an extraordinary story»

Como Todo Mortal

2026. 93 minutes.

On a distant planet, a robot explores the landscape in search of minerals and signs of life. Light-years away, in one of the oldest mines in the world, its inhabitants live surrounded by buried towns under mountains of mineral waste, while astrobiologists investigate a hidden biosphere that raises a disturbing evolutionary hypothesis. Weaving together documentary, flamenco and science fiction, Como Todo Mortal excavates the social, historical and speculative strata of a landscape between exploration and exploitation, between Andalusia and Mars.
